Rostov State Transport University (RGUPS) is located in the City of Rostov-on-Don, which is informally considered the southern capital of Russia. The city population is more than 1 million people. The climate here is much milder and warmer than in central Russia. There are almost no severe frosts here in winter due to the proximity to the Black and Azov Seas. RGUPS was established in 1929. More than 8000 students, including 150 international students, study here now.

Admission: The Admissions Office accepts applications in summer from June 20th to August 10th. The decision on enrollment is usually announced on August 17th.
Campus and its infrastructure:
• The main building of the University is located in the city center and it is a remarkable monument of Soviet constructivism.
• There are several educational blocks: Power Engineering, Humanities and Mechanical facilities next to the main building.
• The University has its own experimental plant, a student canteen, a library and a large sports complex.
Employment of Graduates:
• According to statistics of 2021, 97% of University graduates are employed.
• RGUPS is the leader of the rating of Russian Railways LLC (the state monopoly that manages the entire system of Russian railways).
• During their studies students do an internship at Rostselmash, which is one of the largest developers and manufacturers of agricultural machinery in the world.
Student accommodation:
The University has 4 dormitories located next to the academic buildings. The dormitories offer triple and double accommodation.
