Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) is one of the oldest Russian universities. It was established in 1779.
Currently about 4 300 students study at the University.

Preparatory course
A Preparatory course lasts 10 months. Educational program specialization is engineering and technical. According to the results of the final exams, students who have successfully completed the preparation course program are issued a National certificate that entitles them to enroll in MIIGAiK or any other university in Russia.
An additional advantage is that a comfortable dormitory (residence) near the University is provided for all students of the preparatory department.
Employment of graduates:
During the 1st year after graduation from MIIGAiK the employment rate is 95%! According to this indicator, the university ranks the 4th in Moscow and the 13th in Russia.
Campus
The closed campus of the university (outsiders cannot enter its territory) is located in the center of Moscow. The University's Amenities includes a Student center, residencies, 5 computer centers, an astronomical observatory, a museum complex, a sports complex (boxing, aerobics, fitness, dancing).
Accommodation
The University has 2 residencies located on the closed campus territory. All rooms are furnished. There are additional leisure facilities on the floors.
